Position Overview
We seek an experienced Associate Support Advisor to work closely with the CEO in managing relationships with high-net-worth clients. The Associate Advisor actively manages client relationships, leads meetings, and delivers comprehensive financial planning services focusing on tax and estate planning. While the CEO will provide oversight and participate in meetings as needed, the Associate Advisor will be the primary point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a select group of high-net-worth clients, leading meetings and proactively managing ongoing relationships.
- Deliver comprehensive financial planning services tailored to client goals, including tax, estate, retirement, insurance, and charitable planning, while reviewing and updating Investment Policy Statements to ensure alignment with client goals.
- Coordinate and execute client deliverables by managing follow-ups, preparing documentation, and working with internal and external professionals.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to align strategy, elevate complex matters when needed, and maintain a consistent standard of client service.
- Maintain accurate client records and task tracking using CRM and planning software, ensuring timely execution and documentation of planning activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- CFP or ChFC designation is required
- 3-5 years in a similar role within a fast-paced, registered investment advisory firm
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Financial planning software, and Excel
- Strong grasp of tax, estate, retirement, and charitable planning strategies
- Strong understanding of investment principles and asset allocation to support Investment Policy Statement reviews and financial planning, along with the ability to guide clients through market volatility with sound advice
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple client deliveries with deadlines
- Critical thinking and problem-solving with a high degree of accuracy
