Position Overview
We seek a Trading Operations Specialist to manage and execute portfolio trades and updates using Orion and various brokerage/custodian platforms. This role involves executing trades, implementing model adjustments, ensuring portfolio compliance, managing cash balances, and applying tax-efficient strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Execution & Portfolio Updates: Execute trades, engage with brokers and custodians to ensure timely trade settlement, communicate daily trade data, rebalance accounts for tax-efficiently, and update portfolios based on model changes. Ensure compliance with investment policies.
- Cash Management & Account Monitoring: Manage daily cash flow activity, maintain adequate cash balances for withdrawals, RMDs, and investments, and proactively address liquidity needs.
- Trade Operations & Compliance: Perform post-trade account reviews to ensure trades align with internal policies and strategies and resolve deviations.
- Technology & Platform Management: Use Orion and other brokerage platforms for trade execution, portfolio management, and account monitoring. Ensure accurate data and troubleshooting of system issues.
- Additional Trading & Investment Operations: Perform other related duties as assigned in support of trading and investment operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 2-3 years of trading experience within a fast-paced, registered investment advisory firm
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and Orion trading platform
- Strong multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Analytical and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
